Since 1992, the IEP has been actively focused on putting together policies that support sustainable development and a healthy environment with a view to influencing documents of national importance. The overall aim here is to change unfavourable trends that are currently happening in this area.

IEP projects are often based upon co-operation with the public administration and upon the presentation of new topics in the sphere of sustainable development. This has made the IEP a renowned think-tank.
