The good experience from last year made Institute for Environmental Policy and its partners to organize further one week long summer school. It is focused on the actual theme Transportation and Climate Changes. This year it will také place in the International Meeting Center in St. Marienthal – not far from Zittau in the Euroregio Nisa- Neisse.

Problem Statement

  • Transport-related Greenhouse Gases (GHG) emissions are growing rapidly worldwide.

  • The transport sector contributes greatly to current and future climate change.

  • Transportation growth threatens climate goals.

  • Innovative solutions are urgently needed to break this trend.

Aim of the Summer School

  • To outline the problems from different points of view.

  • To establish contacts for further cooperation and create an international platform of experts and students focused on environmental aspects of transportation.

  • To develop solutions that are innovative, complex, valid and interdisciplinary by joining students and experts from different scientific fields.
